Aetna, AOL, Ask.com, and NBC Universal's iVillage Total Health have all adopted Healthline's medically guided health search platform. The companies will use Healthline's search, navigation, and content technology on their sites, adding to existing agreements that Healthline already has with companies including Merck, Merriam Webster, and US News and World Report. Healthline has also secured $21 million in strategic financing led by GE/NBC Universal's Peacock Equity Fund. In May, The HealthCentral Network partnered with Healthline to provide medically guided search functionality to its more than 30 health and condition-specific Web sites (ePharm5, 5/18/07). Last year, Healthline added a blog network and a new navigation and search service to its tools (ePharm5, 9/28/06).
